This trekking route begins from Golpu, a village in Nuwakot district, and gradually ascends through the scenic hills of the Helambu region. The trail passes through traditional Tamang and Sherpa settlements, dense rhododendron and pine forests, terraced farmlands, and panoramic mountain viewpoints.
From Kutumsang, trekkers continue northward along the Helambu–Langtang trail, climbing toward higher alpine terrain. The route eventually reaches Gosaikunda, a sacred high-altitude lake located at about 4,380 meters, which is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.
